Our number one priority as parents is to provide a future for our children. By developing a support system to help strengthen the family-starting withe the parents-hopefully we can decrease the numbers of family seperated by the system. The main afflictions are poverty, mental health, substance abuse, and lack of support systems.
This is a proactive group that requires you putting in as much as you are taking out. It requires complete honesty, starting with yourself. Everything is confidential, unless you want something to be reported, and of course, if you intend on hurting yourself or others.
Many of us have issues that we may be afraid to admit to or ask for help because we may be afraid of the outcome. This group's main purpose is to help familiy's that have struggles, whether the court system is involved or not, and help make our families whole again. We also have a variety of family structures and will try to help each other with court orders or any other parenting hurdles.
Our focus is to provide a foundation for different people coming to the same final goal: Supportive Families. We can compare struggles, offer ideas, address complications, and hopefully reduce the number of children terminated by building a strong network of support.
